SUPPORTING BETTER HEALTHCARE DECISIONS
ESAAA/CAA provides information, counseling, and support to help older adults and their families make informed decisions about their healthcare. Through programs such as Virginia Insurance Counseling Assistance Program (VICAP) and Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP), individuals can receive guidance about Medicare, insurance options, medical bills, and protecting themselves from healthcare fraud, errors, and abuse. Our goal is to help older adults better understand their healthcare options, access the benefits available to them, and feel confident when making decisions about their health and coverage.
Services We Offer
Virginia Insurance Counseling Assistance Program (VICAP)
The VICAP is available to provide insurance counseling, free of charge, to individuals over the age of 60 and their families. The program provides assistance in making decisions about Medicare, Medigap Insurance, Medicare Advantage (Part C) Medicaid and medical bills.
Senior Medicare
Patrol (SMP)
The SMP Mission is to empower and assist beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education.
